About Mari A. Lee, MA, LMFT, CSAT-S, CPTT-S, MBATT-CS
Mari is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Supervisor (CSAT-S), a Certified Partners Trauma Therapist and Supervisor (CPTT S), a Certified Mindfulness Based Addiction and Trauma Therapist and Consulting Supervisor, (MBATT-CS), and is trained in Gottman’s Couples Therapy, and EMDR. She is the founder of Growth Counseling Services, located in Southern California. Since 2007, Mari has helped individuals an couples heal from sexual compulsivity, pornography addiction, and betrayal trauma. Her other specializations include anxiety disorders and depression.
Additionally, Mari is a member of the faculty and ethics board with the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and she is a senior faculty member and ethics member with The Mindfulness Academy of Addiction and Trauma Training (TMAATT). She provides instructional classes and workshops for therapists around the world.
Mari is also a national speaker on the topics of addiction, betrayal trauma, women’s issues, and mindfulness, and is a trusted supervisor and business coach with over 32 years of experience in supporting professionals.
In addition to her clinical work, Mari has authored and co-authored several books, including Facing Heartbreak: Steps to Recovery for Partners of Sex Addicts, Healing from Betrayal, The Creative Clinician, Fisci the Fire Safety Fox and Friends, and she is a contributing author to Behavioral Addictions: Criteria, Evidence and Treatment.
